Dean of College of Life Science, NTHU

National Tsing Hua University (NTHU) is a world-leading research university, ranking as one of the premier universities in Taiwan. We are seeking a visionary and transformative academic leader to serve as Dean of the College of Life Science. Applications and nominations are invited. The expected start date is August 1, 2020 for three years per term with a second term renewable.


1.   A strong record of academic scholarship and professional achievement in the fields of life science and biomedical research;

2.   University professor or equivalent professional qualifications;

3.   Forward-looking philosophy of education and considerable administrative experience sufficient to administer the college and associated programs.

About NTHU and the College of Life Science

NTHU is a comprehensive research universityoffering a full range of degree programs in engineering, science, social sciences, management and life sciences. The College of Life Science (CLS) traces back to 1991 as the first Department of Life Science in Taiwan. CLS now is composed of two departments and five graduate institutes, hosting ~60 finest full-time faculty members and ~800 students. Their researches cover the most important aspects of life science and biomedical science. The emerging mission for CLS is to expand interdisciplinary medical programs.
